What is the style of your worship services?
Our service features different ways to authentically experience God in a community of believers. Sunday morning service offers a traditional service, complete with a variety of styles in music including Praise and Worship, Traditional Hymns, and Southern Gospel. Then our Pastor reads the Holy Scripture and preaches what the Lord gives him.
Services have altar calls, an invitation is given to all those who would like to accept Jesus Christ as Savior regardless of denomination. Altars are open for anyone who would like to pray for any need.
What should I wear?
At Christ the King you will see people comfortable in traditional “Sunday Dress” while others are in more casual styles of modest clothing.
How do I get there?
Where do I go when I first arrive?
Come to our front door where greeters and ushers will help you find your way. Perhaps you might wish to come early at 10:00 AM for a cup of coffee and time to meet with staff and friends and other greeters.
What about my kids?
Our Junior Church program is for ages 3 – 9. We also have a pre-teen ministry called "Ignite" for kids 10 - 12 years old. Both ministries are comprehensive programs providing a fun, encouraging, relational, and spiritually stimulating atmosphere for your youngsters. Junior church and Ignite run during the same time as our Sunday morning worship service. We provide a cry room where you can tend to your little one if the need should arise.
What if my children need me while I'm in church service?
Often there are well qualified people in the Children’s ministry to monitor the needs of the children and make the parents aware of those needs.
What about my kids older than 12?
At Christ the King Community Church we believe that our students are not the church of tomorrow, but they are the church of today. Because of this, we want to see our students take their place in the life of our church, not just our Student Ministry. We believe that it is extremely important for our students to connect with our Leaders and have the opportunity to attend church with their families, so on the weekend we strongly encourage students to gather in our main weekend worship service. For youth ages 12 and above, we have a fantastic youth group, Youth on the Rock, that meets during our Family Night Wednesdays service at 7 pm.
Do you ask for money?
Christ the King Community Church is a non-profit organization that exists on contributions. Members who are already connected to our vision believe in our purpose, feel like Christ the King Church is truly meaningful to them, and they give generously. WE NEVER TRY TO MAKE PEOPLE GIVE! Giving from the heart is good…. giving out of guilt is bad.
What makes Christ the King Church unique?
Our church adheres to a unique philosophy of ministry. Our weekend services present the timeless truth of Christianity in a way that impacts people in their lives today. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you can grow in your understanding of Christianity at these services.
Is Christ the King Community Church a "charismatic" church?
We are very excited about our faith which means we have a lot of charisma. Our worship service is structured according to scripture that says “decently and in order.” It is very important to us that we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in all that we do. We are passionate about our worship and believe in the lifting of hands, clapping and rejoicing during praise. We believe it's God's desire to see His Children rejoicing in His presence. We believe that the Holy Spirit who indwells every born again believer gives gifts to empower for service. Christ the King Community Church does not embrace hyper-charismatic views and methodology. We strive to give the Holy Spirit freedom in our midst while following the scripture as our guide. Come see for yourself! We believe you will be pleased with the balance.
